Areas of Practice

DUI and Traffic Defense

If you are arrested for DUI, you need someone who can advise you on the best practices to mitigate the possible jail sentence and issues with your driving privileges. In addition to accessing the videos and incident reports relating to your investigation and arrest, I review that discovery for possible opportunities to fight your charges. I also walk you through opportunities to provide leverage in our negotiations with the State if a plea agreement is offered. Finally, with any DUI, if the state can prove their case, we also advise you on the steps you’ll need to take to successfully complete the required services such as counseling, victim impact panel, and community service work that inevitably result from a DUI continuing order.

Criminal Defense

Criminal cases often result in jail time in addition to the damage it does to your ability to find employment, seek housing, or obtain a firearm. I represent people charged with criminal offenses and understand the challenges you face. I’ll review the discovery, and look for opportunities to mitigate these issues. I’ll give you informed and trustworthy advice that you can act on and I’ll fight for you.

Post-Conviction Petitions

If you were convicted of a felony and have exhausted your appeals, you may file a post-conviction petition. Petitions are limited to allegations of constitutional violations that could not be included in the appeal.
